Events
Where the field gathers.
Reversibility is studied across several communities at once, each with its own conferences, workshops and forums. This is a guide to them, gathered in one place — what is coming up, what has recently taken place, and the organisations that run them.
The Reversibility Institute does not organise these events. Everything listed here is run by others; this section simply collects them so they are easier to find. Individual events are often written up in each programme's News.
Upcoming events
Reversible Computation 2026 (RC 2026) ↗
The 18th International Conference on Reversible Computation — the field's main annual venue, spanning reversible programming languages, circuits, quantum computing and the thermodynamics of computation.
PhysicsQuantum Thermodynamics Conference 2026 (QTD 2026) ↗
The annual conference on the thermodynamics of quantum systems and information — Landauer's principle, fluctuation theorems, Maxwell's demon and information engines.
ManufacturingWorld Circular Economy Forum 2026 (WCEF 2026) ↗
The tenth edition of the global forum on the circular economy — reuse, repair, remanufacturing and design for disassembly. In-person attendance is by invitation; online participation is free and open to all.
ProgrammingIEEE International Conference on Rebooting Computing (ICRC 2026) ↗
The IEEE conference on computing beyond Moore's law, where reversible and adiabatic energy-recovery approaches are discussed alongside other emerging paradigms.
